Luxury. A word that comes to mind when we think of jewelry, high-end cars and gourmet gastronomy. When it comes to tourism, we think of 5-star hotels with well-decorated rooms. However, we believe that at Carretera Austral luxury goes hand in hand with what the destination and its nature offer us.

Recently the AysenJourneys team has been working on a new travel program for you, which Paula Christensen called "Luxury Adventure in Aysén", with the aim of compiling all those details that constitute a luxury in a remote and distant destination. Details of the program
For our Luxury Adventure itinerary in Aysén we have decided to plan a route to the south of the Carretera Austral, incorporating first-class accommodation at an Explora Patagonia National Park hotel, a place that offers infinite tranquility and rest in the middle of the steppe landscapes. Patagonian. Built entirely with stones from local quarries, recycled wood and copper for the roofs. In Explora, your exploration experience will be personalized. Every night, your guide (certified and full of passion for nature) will ask you if you want one the next day. If your answer is positive, you can choose between walks, bike rides, overland or high mountains, all of them of various levels of difficulty. It will be a vital and revitalizing experience beyond the borders of the hotel itself during your 3 nights of accommodation.
In this program, of course, we maintain our first-class service at Mallin Colorado Ecolodge, with privileged views of Lake General Carrera from the rooms and trails to explore the forests on foot or on horseback. This place will be your home for the first 3 nights of the trip. On day 2 you will be surprised by one of the most impressive rock formations in Chile and the world! The so-called Marble Caverns, along with its Chapel and its Cathedral. Located on the shores of Lake General Carrera, you can visit them by kayak in an experience that will allow you to touch pure, crystalline water. In the afternoon you will raft on the Baker River, the largest in Chile. Once again you can soak up the magic of the south.
On the third day, I will only give you a gift aboard a boat that will go to the San Rafael lagoon and the glacier of the same name. On the way we will serve you breakfast, a hot coffee and a later lunch. Exquisite before being able to amaze yourself with the luxury experience of seeing one of the most beautiful glaciers in the country up close, with an ice wall 70 meters high and 2km wide. This trip will be full day, returning to the dock after 5 in the afternoon.
Day 4 will be total relaxation in Mallin Colorado and on days 5 and 6, we return to the luxury adventure at Explora Patagonia. You will have the pleasure of traveling along the Carretera Austral between one point and another, seeing some attractions along the way such as the General Carrera Bridge, Puerto Bertrand and the point where the Baker and Nef rivers converge. The last three nights will be at Explora, a place that will leave you speechless. You will undoubtedly say, what a luxury to be here resting!, before returning along the same route to the Balmaceda airport on day 7 of your trip.
